Ramsen stepped onto the land proudly, his eyes taking in every feature that he could see, his nares opening to take in the scents. This place did smell quite heavenly, flowers blooming, filling the air with their scent, beckoning more to come. The grass too seemed to invite one to reach down their head and have their fill without care. He was not tempted yet, for his work was not done. He continued to walk, his head moving about to take in every detail that might prove the ground unworthy. He came to a stream, lined on its edge with willows that poured down into the water, seeming to bless it. He followed it to its end and found a great river, one that would ensure water for the horses that lived here. Then he returned, he could see the mountains in the great distance, ensuring that weather would come to the land on a regular basis. He examined the trees, the notches that they made into the land, their thick roofs looked to block any sign of the outer world but a few rays of light, a perfect place to seek refuge. With a nod of his head he turned, to the middle of the land, where he knew his call would echo throughout, where all would hear. He raised upon his back daggers and called his claim. “This land is now Griksten, lead by the Averti Ramsen!” he said as well as he could. Then he landed, only now taking the taste of the world around him, his new home.
